Here is an update on where my life is at the end of November 2017:
Relationship Status: I now have an electric blanket and I never want to share my bed again.
Financial Status: A trip to London at the start of the month was not exactly great for my finances, but it didn’t destroy them or me which is massive progress.
Mostly wearing: I got thermal tights from Lidl in October and they have been life-changing. So dresses and skirts have been the order of the day and combined with toasty warm legs thanks to my new tights. I do miss trousers though. They are going to make a comeback in my wardrobe in 2018.
Mostly eating: I am still aubergine obsessed. I also seem to be addicted to making tea loaf in an attempt to clear my massive stockpiles of flour. There are worse ways to do it I am sure.
Mostly drinking: too much wine and too many negronis at the start of the month. Mostly water thereafter. And negronis.
Mostly buying: Gifts for my family and friends. November is heavy on birthdays, anniversaries and also planning for Christmas.
Total step count:229, 417 (very low – oops)
Other stuff I did:
I went to London to visit family and also went to the Harry Potter Exhibit at the British Library with my old flatmate, followed by lunch at Drink Shop Do. It was pretty excellent.
Oh and I finally got divorced. It was so drawn out and messy I felt less like celebrating and more like sleeping for a month but as time goes on I feel lighter and freer every day.
My favourite things I have written this month:
That tea loaf recipe I have been making all the time.
My favourite things other people have written this month:
Lis gets it. She just gets it. I love her.
This is right up my alley. I LOVE ART GALLERIES. I am super stoked to get an art pass next year.
I am going to go to a LOT of these where I can. I love this list from two of my favourites:
I’ve not really been able to read Elizabeth’s posts on her wedding (it looks beautiful) but this is really interesting and something I want to find out more about for myself.
Lou is a beautiful writer and an excellent thinker. I loved her thoughts here on being a mother to a daughter
How was your November?
