Happy new year!
I spent Hogmanay with friends, drinking hot chocolate and watching the fireworks over the Castle. To be honest I cannot think of many better ways to spend it.
For New Year’s Day, I tend to go super traditional too and make pie and have people around. The tradition is steak pie and family, but I do a leek, potato and cheese pie with friends. It is still pretty special. We are all a little tired from the celebrations, and all want to be cosy and coddled and we do. In my little flat, I have people I care about and we chat and play games and eat food and feel good about what is to come.
I feel pretty good about 2018. I know 2017 saw some tough times for me personally and the world as a whole but I feel like a positive movement has been building and I hope that this is the year it really takes flight. I also have some personal goals for the year which I feel really good about. I hope you have spent your Hogmanay with loved ones and have a fantastic year in 2018. Good luck with the new year!
